DREW SILVA: Josh Rojas of the Diamondbacks has carried deep league fantasy sleeper buzz in previous years, because of his impressive box score filling production in the upper minor leagues. And it does appear that he might actually meet that fantasy sleeper potential here in the 2021 season.

Rojas was 2 for 31, with zero extra base hits, and zero RBIs through his first 13 games this year, between April 1, opening day, and April 17. But in his following 19 games, from April 19 to May 12, the dynamic 26-year-old has batted 3.97, with an 11.87 OPS, five home runs, 11 RBIs, two stolen bases, and 18 runs scored. Again, that's in 19 games.

These are both obviously small sample sizes and trying to chop up any player's numbers in that manner can lead you to misguided conclusions. But again, look to what Rojas did at AAA and AA play in 2019, the last full minor league season. A .332 batting average, 10.23 OPS, 23 home runs, and 33 stolen bases in 105 games. He's got the five category tools. And he is currently translating those tools into five category fantasy output as a now everyday presence in the lineup for Arizona.
