NEW PHILADELPHIA − Country singer Josh Turner will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Performing Arts Center at Kent State University of Tuscarawas, 330 University Drive NE, New Philadelphia.

Turner has sold more than 12.5 million units, is a disciple of traditional country music and one of the youngest members of the Grand Ole Opry. The 45-year-old is a native of Hannah, South Carolina.

Turner’s hits include “Your Man,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” “Firecracker,” “Would You Go with Me,” “All Over Me,” and “Time Is Love,” which was the most played country song of 2012. His first album, "Long Black Train" in 2003, went platinum. His second album in 2006, "Your Man," went double platinum. "Everything is Fine" went gold in 2007.

For two decades, Turner’s deep, velvet voice has been the most recognizable on country radio. His unwavering dedication to the tenets of the country genre inspired a generation of country singers and bolstered an underserved segment of the fanbase.
