Joshua Bassett laughed just as hard as you did to the Saturday Night Live "Drivers License" sketch that name-checked him and mentioned his relationship with Olivia Rodrigo.

In a new interview with Billboard, Joshua opened up about his feelings over the sketch after it aired on the show's February 20 episode.

"First, I was in disbelief — [I was] mostly proud of Olivia," he said. "The fact that they were using her song in a sketch, I was like, 'This is great. This is incredible!'"

The sketch also talked about all the drama surrounding Joshua and Olivia, including the fact that many believe the song to be about their old relationship and that the blonde girl mentioned on the track is his new rumored GF, Sabrina Carpenter.

"I was like, 'I think I’m honored?'" he said with a laugh. "They poke fun at everyone and everything. That's the point of the show. I thought it was hilarious."

Joshua even took to TikTok following the sketch using "Happy & Sad" by Kacey Musgraves to show that he was both happy and sad by what they said on the show.

"You have to roll with it and not take things too seriously," he continued. "I’m still navigating it all. I don’t really know what I’m doing, and keep taking it a day at a time."

At least Joshua is being a good sport over all of this. Plus, with his new EP and the second season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series coming out soon, things will certainly be alright.
