"Journey to Peace" with Oak Ridge area women on Oct. 10.

Area women are invited to attend a "Journey to Peace" luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel on 215 S. Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge.

The luncheon meeting will have as its feature guest, Rae Mihal, from Pioneer, Tennessee. She will tell her story of 20 years working in Saudi Arabia for a large oil company, and share some of the artifacts from her years of life in the desert, according to a news release.

Following her presentation will be the inspirational speaker for the day, Linda McDaniel from Ellenboro, North Carolina. She loves to travel, touring historic buildings and antebellum homes. She also is a former secretary and concierge of a day spa. In her pursuit to become the "perfect woman," she found the true source of peace and contentment. He topic: ""Living at the Day Spa - is that realistic?"
