She’s got a positive view of the past.

Joy Behar told Time in an interview out Wednesday that she “was glad to be fired” from “The View” back in 2013, ending her run as one of the original co-hosts of the ABC morning talk show that premiered in 1997.

“I basically was sick of the show at that point for some reason, I don’t even remember why,” said the Brooklyn-born comedian, 79, who returned to the show in 2015 and has been co-hosting ever since.

“She doesn’t hold a grudge,” co-host Sunny Hostin told Time of Behar. “I think because she doesn’t remember what happened the day before.”

Hostin added that that’s how Behar has “been able to deal with this show. She just leaves it at the table and then moves on for another day.”

Behar’s return to “The View” just two years later served as the show’s way “back into the cultural conversation,” executive producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin told Time.

“She’s always been the person who says what the audience is thinking but is afraid to say.”

When Behar eventually does leave the show for good, she told the mag she won’t really miss the accompanying spotlight.

“I’m sort of on extra time now. I don’t have to work. I don’t have to be on television. I don’t have to have the microphone. They want to give it to me, I’ll take it,” said Behar. “You know what they say — the show must go off.”
