Joy Behar tells Meghan McCain not to 'have a hissy fit' in heated exchange on 'The View'

Joy Behar and Meghan McCain are back at it again on "The View," this time engaging in a heated argument on Monday's episode.

This isn't the first time the two co-hosts have hashed things out on TV, but they seemed to bury the hatchet back in December. That temporary truce didn't last long, with Behar, 76, and McCain, 34, trading barbs back and forth.

The problems started when they began a Hot Topics segment on the show about Senator Amy Klobuchar, who President Donald Trump mocked in a tweet after she announced her presidential campaign over the weekend. The president tweeted it was “bad timing” for her to talk “proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures.”

When McCain chimed in as Behar was introducing the topic, Behar replied: “Can I get through this, please?”

After co-hosts Abby Huntsman and Sunny Hostin chatted about the topic with Behar, McCain jumped into the conversation.

“Can I say something now?” she asked. “Is that OK, Joy? Do I have permission to speak now on Amy Klobuchar? We’re all good?”

McCain started to make her point before stopping and telling Behar: “Nope, by all means, keep going, Joy."

“No, if you’re going to have a hissy fit, we can’t continue," Behar retorted.

McCain and Behar previously butted heads during the show's on-air tribute to former president George H.W. Bush, who died Nov. 30 at age 94, when things turned political.

Behar brought up Bush's concern for the environment on "The View" Dec. 3, then seized the opportunity to criticize Trump.

"This president that we have now is trying to unravel everything that (Bush) did and Obama did," Behar said. "And if I ever become a one-issue voter, it will be about pollution and the greenhouse effect..."

McCain interjected, asking: "Can we focus on the president, please? I don't want to talk about Trump when we're in the moment of – we're honoring a great president."

"I'm not interested in your one-issue voter when a president just passed," McCain continued.

"I don't care what you're interested in. I'm talking," Behar fired back.

"Well, I don't care what you're interested in either, Joy," McCain said.
