$852M settlement reached in USC gynecologist case

Attorneys representing more than 700 women who claim they were sexually abused by former USC campus gynecologist George Tyndall announced a "global settlement" of lawsuits against the university Thursday.

- A federal judge has now signed off on a $215 million settlement between USC and thousands of women seen by former longtime campus gynecologist George Tyndall. Roughly 18,000 women will receive money from the school regardless of whether they've accused him-- Tyndall-- of misconduct. USC released a statement saying that it is pleased with the court's decision.
