Caprio said he is being treated by "a wonderful team of doctors" in Rhode Island and at Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

"I pray that God guides their thoughts and their hands in their treatment of me," Caprio said.

Caprio said he was diagnosed recently. He wasn't feeling well while celebrating his 87th birthday and decided to see a doctor.

"I know there's still a long road, and I'm fully prepared to fight as hard as I can," he said.

In addition to an emotional Caprio announcing his illness, the video shared photos of him undergoing treatments as well as photos from his birthday celebration and video clips of people wishing him well.
