Serena Williams and Judge Judy have more in common than being celebrities.

Both were among eight Floridians named with 92 others on the Forbes magazine list of America's Richest Self-Made Women. Diane Hendricks of Wisconsin, co-founder of the roofing company ABC Supply, topped the list with a worth of $15 billion.

Other notable self-made wealthy women listed were singer and cosmetics executive Rihanna (at No. 20 with $1.4 billion), reality TV star Kim Kardashian (No. 21 at $1.4 billion) and pop star Taylor Swift (at No. 34, $740 million).

Two of the eight Floridians live in Collier County in Southwest Florida: Judge Judy (Judy Sheindlin) of Naples and Doreen Granpeesheh of Marco Island.

The other six Florida women who made the list: Oracle CEO Safra Katz, 61, of Fort Lauderdale (No. 19, worth $1.4 billion); Syntel co-founder Neerja Sethi, 68, of Fisher Island (No. 25, worth $990 million); Martine Rothblatt, 68, United Therapeutics co-founder and founder of Sirius Satellite Radio, of Satellite Beach (No. 42, $600 million); Scale co-founder Lucy Guo, 28, of Miami (No. 76, $360 million); tennis star Serena Williams, 41, of Jupiter (No. 89, $290 million); and The Bancorp founder Betsy Cohen, 81, of Osprey (No. 98, $245 million).

'Judge Judy' on TV from 1996 to 2021

Sheindlin, 80, whose syndicated television show "Judge Judy" ran for 25 years, was No. 56 on the list with a wealth of $480 million. She owns homes in various states, and has lived part-time in Naples for a few decades and is occasionally seen at the annual Naples Winter Wine Festival.

Doreen Granpeesheh began autism treatment firm

The 60-year-old Granpeesheh ― an Iranian-American who in 1990 founded the Center fo Autism and Related Disorders ― in 2018 sold the autism treatment firm to Blackstone Group in a deal valued at $600 million. She's ranked at No. 77 on the list with a wealth of $350 million.

Granpeesheh has owned a $485,000 condo on Marco Island since 2016, Collier County property records show.

Safra Katz has been Oracle CEO since 2014

Born in Israel, Katz joined Oracle in 1999 and has spearheaded Oracle's acquisition strategy. She succeeded Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison as CEO when he stepped down in 2014 and became sole CEO in 2019.

Her family moved to Massachusetts when she was 6 and later received academic degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (bachelor's from the Wharton School and law school degree).

Syntel began in Michigan apartment

Neerja Sethi and her husband, Bharat Desai, in 1980 co-founded an IT consulting and outsourcing firm in their apartment in Troy, Michigan, a Detroit suburb. That company, Syntel, grew to become a multinational provider of integrated technology and business services.

A French IT firm in 2018 bought Syntel for $3.4 billion, and Sethi received an estimated $510 million for her stake, Forbes reported.

Martine Rothblatt, satellite radio, biotech pioneer

Rothblatt was born in Chicago and grew up in a San Diego suburb. She attended college for two years then dropped out to travel the world, which provided inspiration and creativity that led her to co-found Sirius Satellite Radio in 1990 and United Therapeutics six years later.

The biotech firm sells FDA-approved drugs and also experiments with pig cloning and genetic modification to create lung transplants the human body doesn't reject. The company's pig 'pharm' in Blacksburg, Virginia, is the world's largest cloner of pigs, Forbes said in its story.

Lucy Guo a millionaire in her 20s

In her early 20s, Guo co-founded Scale AI with Alexandr Wang in 2016. The two met while working at question-and-answer website Quora.

Her latest ventures include passes.com, an exclusive online community for therapy, astrology, music and more. Guo's also active on social media, including Instagram and Twitter.

And Guo often touts her love for Miami, where "everyone's more positive and doesn't assume the worst tone with everything."

Born in Saginaw, Michigan, and raised for a few years in Compton, Calfiornia, Serena Williams eventually made it to Florida by age 9 with her family. She settled into West Palm Beach and went on to become one of the greatest tennis players of all time ― and certainly the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) women's player ever.

Williams in 2021 purchased a s a 10,433 square-foot mansion worth $8 million in Jupiter, the one-time home of former St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina.

Betsy Cohen was bank CEO by age 32

Betsy Cohen founded The Bancorp, a payment provider and specialized lender, in 1999 and served as its CEO until 2014.

Long before that, the current resident of Osprey in Sarasota County in 1974 became the first female bank CEO in Philadelphia when she was 32.

Even earlier, she founded a law firm and shipping business; clerked for the U.S. Third Circuit of Appeals; and was a Rutgers Law School professor ― all before age 30.
