Judge reinstates third-degree murder charge in Chauvin trial

The judge in the trial of fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin reinstated a third-degree murder charge in the death of George Floyd. Chauvin is also charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter.

NORAH O'DONNELL: And we turn now to Minneapolis where a judge today in the trial of fired officer Derek Chauvin reinstated a charge of third degree murder to go along with second degree murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. Now this will give the jury another option for conviction. Opening arguments are expected in a few weeks.
