Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby on Wednesday faced the first of two pretrial hearings ahead of her trial later this month. The hearings were held to resolve outstanding legal issues before Mosby's criminal trial on federal charges of perjury and making a false statement on a loan application. The judge heard arguments from defense attorneys and federal prosecutors on two sets of motions. The defense went first, followed by the prosecution, with the judge issuing oral rulings in between.
