‘Juice Jacking’: FBI warns hackers using USB charging stations to corrupt mobile devices

You may want to think twice before using free device charging stations.

The FBI sent out a warning Monday that hackers have figured out how to use USB ports at those charging stations to install malware and monitoring software on your cell phone and other devices.

Officials said the cellphone hacking is called “Juice Jacking.”

They advise using your own chargers or regular electric outlets if your battery is low.
