JuJu Smith-Schuster can’t wait to get to work with Mac Jones

Former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones will have a new offensive coordinator in 2023 and some new offensive skill players to help him out after a disappointing 2022 season.
Bill O’Brien left the Alabama staff to be the offensive play caller for the Patriots and the team signed JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency. These two moves may not seem to be big on the surface, but it gives Jones a proven offensive coordinator and a clear WR1.
Smith-Schuster appears very excited to get to work with Jones, recently discussing his thoughts on the young quarterback in an interview.
“I have not thrown with Mac yet,” said Smith-Schuster. “But just watching film and just watching him, that dude loves, breathes New England. He’s the definition of a Patriot. Even in my short time, my 24 hours of being in New England, he was there, constantly working out with the guys, just getting after it, getting in the books.
“I mean, he’s a rookie Pro Bowler. So, they do have a lot of potential and I can’t wait to get right with him.”
The AFC East will be one of the toughest divisions in the NFL in 2023, so Jones and Smith Schuster certainly have their work cut out for them.
