The schedule for distribution of anime Jujutsu Kaisen's second season has been adjusted.

Jujutsu Kaisen has been airing its second season this year, with episodes of the Shibuya Incident Arc being released on Thursdays since August. International fans have been able to catch new episodes on streaming service Crunchyroll on the same day as they air in Japan.

However, there is a change to the schedule starting with this week's episode on November 30.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the official account for the show said that from season 2 episode 19 onwards, episodes will be released outside of Japan on Fridays at 6pm local time – which is 9am UK time.

The air date in Japan remains unchanged.

This news comes after previous production issues in its second season. Earlier this month, one of its animation directors claimed that episode 17 aired in an unfinished state in a now-deleted post.

Complaints began to surface after the Shibuya Incident Arc started airing, referencing the working conditions of the show's production company, MAPPA.

Itsuki Tsuchigami, director of Jujutsu Kaisen's 16th episode of its second season, said in a post: "Although it is unpleasant to be praised in the name of the company, I have to be grateful for the hard work and dedication of the company’s production and filming staff.

"They are contributing immensely to the work despite the unavoidable circumstances."

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
