Julianne Hough wore glitter roots in her hair, and we’re actually super into it

We hope we’re not alone when we say that we’re always going to love things that sparkle. (Because no matter how old we get, we just want to shine bright like a diamond.) Seems like Julianne Hough is on board with us because she just wore glitter roots on the red carpet and basically transformed into a Disney princess.

Hough added a touch of glam to her sleek blonde bob by way of gold glitter roots as she walked the red carpet for the America’s Got Talent Season 14 finale in Los Angeles on Tuesday, September 17th. The look is proof that a little bit of shimmer can go a long way.

Her side part featured a sprinkling of glitter right at the roots, which served as the perfect complement to her outfit. Her dress—which was entirely covered in red sequins and centered a gold glittery heart cut-out at the chest—matched her platform red heels. This look is so Disney princess meets old Hollywood movie star. It’s like she’s been sprinkled over her head with pixie dust (is that you, Tinker Bell?).

Check out her glittery roots up close, before enjoying a full-length shot of her glam vibes in their entirety.

We can’t help but think glitter roots are about to be the trend for all the holiday festivities ahead. After all, what better way to elevate your holiday party look than with a hint of glimmer in your hair?

If you’re as obsessed with this trend as we are, there are several ways your strands can (temporarily!) shine bright like a diamond. We love Drybar x Too Faced's Glitter Spritzer Sparkle Spray, which comes in gold and rose gold; Lime Crime’s Unicorn Hair Star Mist, which comes in rosé (a rose gold shade) and North Star, an iridescent pastel blend; and Jerome Russell's B Wild Glitter Body & Hair Spray, which comes in ultra-festive silver and gold.

Don’t blame us if we take cues from Julianne and look like a KiraKira+ dream into the new year. Meet you under the disco ball.
