Brooklyn Presbyterian Church is holding its annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 9, which is the day when it costs $5 to fill a paper grocery bag; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 10, $4 to fill a paper grocery bag; and 9 a.m. to noon June 11, $1 to fill a paper grocery bag. The Irish Hills Eagles have the following specials coming up: On Wednesday, June 1, they are offering $1 coney dogs for members only, all day. On Friday, June 3, they will have smoked pork chop dinners for only $9 from 5 to 7 p.m. and the public is welcome. They are also holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, June 5. Adults are $7 and children under 10 are only $3. The public is welcome. Region 2 Area Agency on Aging is holding Dementia Friends online training, which is a one-and-a-half-hour webinar from noon to 1:30 p.m. June 8. Everyone can benefit by better understanding dementia and how to interact with people who have this disease.
