Jurassic Quest returns to metro Phoenix: What to know about the 'realistic' dinosaur show

Jurassic Quest, the "largest and most realistic dinosaur exhibit in North America," is returning to metro Phoenix soon.

The dinosaur show that features life-size prehistoric creatures will be open at Bell Bank Park in Mesa from Friday, Feb. 4, through Sunday, Feb. 6.

Jurassic Quest previously hosted a pop-up drive-thru event in Glendale in August. The Mesa stop will be an indoor exhibit with "dinosaur-themed rides and attractions, live dinosaur shows (and) interactive science and art activities," according to a press release.

Little ones can be reassured that the moving, interactive dinos will be on their best behavior as they are handled by their trainers.

Rides, dinosaur shows and more attractions at Jurassic Quest

Once inside Jurassic Quest, there are a number of attractions to visit, including:

  • An ancient oceans exhibit that features prehistoric sea turtles and a 50-foot Megalodon.

  • Live shows in which adolescent dinosaurs play with audiences.

  • Meet-and-greets with baby dinosaurs.

  • Fossil digging areas.

  • Stationary and (slow) walking dinosaur rides.

  • A herd of life-size animatronic dinosaurs.

  • Bounce houses.

How much do tickets to Jurassic Quest cost?

Jurassic Quest recommends purchasing timed-entry tickets in advance at jurassicquest.com/events/mesa-az.

General admission for kids and adults costs $24 and includes access to live shows, arts and crafts and dinosaur and marine exhibits. Seniors get in for $19.

An unlimited ride pass that includes access to dinosaur rides, inflatables and the fossil dig can be purchased for $38. The cost includes entry. Otherwise, individual activities have tickets on-site that cost $6.

COVID-19 precautions at Jurassic Quest

For guests, "face coverings are strongly encouraged, regardless of vaccination status," according to Jurassic Quest's website. Employees will be required to wear masks.

"All contact surfaces" will be wiped down throughout the day. Rides will be sterilized after each use. Bounce houses will be wiped down at regular intervals. For more information, visit jurassicquest.com/covid-message.
