Jury acquits former BPD detective in theft case

A jury acquitted a retired Baltimore City police detective who was accused of stealing money. The jury heard closing arguments Monday morning in the trial of retired Baltimore City police Detective Ethan Glover. The jurors found Glover not guilty on both counts against him after deliberating for four hours. Glover, 51, was indicted in April 2021 on accusations that he stole money from the Baltimore Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration, and then lied to the FBI about it. Glover was serving as a DEA task force officer at the time when the allegations arose.
