Question: Are fireworks legal in Nashville?
And a bonus question: Where can I buy fireworks around Nashville?
Short answer: Nope. You cannot shoot fireworks in Davidson County, nor can you buy them in the county limits. If a person is found in violation of the ordinance, they are subject to being found guilty of a misdemeanor and, if convicted, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $50.
Long answer: Change may be on the way. Just not in time for July 4, 2023.

Nashville Metro Councilmember Dave Rosenberg pushed for the council to allow fireworks on the Fourth of July between noon and 10:30 p.m. Rosenberg argued that fireworks usage is widespread on the federal holiday throughout Davidson County, regardless of the ordinance.
Rosenberg also stated that the emergency communications call center is flooded with complaints and first responders don’t have the staffing levels to respond to the calls.
The council voted against Rosenberg’s proposed bill at the June 6 meeting.
Time for that bonus question.
