Amid a mental health break, Justin Bieber slams troll for criticizing his marriage

Justin Bieber told fans he needs to take a break from music to work on himself. and asked them to reconsider unkind words about his wife, Hailey Baldwin.

Justin Bieber is continuing to ask fans for their kindness and patience as he goes through a rough patch.

Bieber, 25, posted a lengthy Instagram comment Tuesday in response to a troll who accused him of marrying Hailey Baldwin to get back at his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

"Why would I dedicate my whole life to someone in marriage to get back (at) my ex, anyone who believes this is mean spirited or 10 years old or younger because a logical person doesn't talk or think this way," he wrote. "I absolutely loved and love Selena, she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heels in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has ever happened to me period."

The pop star continued: "I've seen multiple people say things like this and will never respond again to a message like this because I don't like to even give it my energy, but this is a reply to all immature sick people who send Hailey hurtful messages like 'he always goes back to Selena' or 'Selena is better for him'... Hailey is my bride period. If you don't like that or support that that means you don't support me and if you don't support me your not a fan nor a good person."

He also posted a screenshot of the comment to his Instagram story, asking fans to stop sending him hurtful messages and to re-post the comment to spread the word.

Bieber's outrage comes a day after he revealed that he's taking a break from music. In an Instagram post Monday, he told fans that he knows they want a new album and more concerts, but he has some work to do before he's ready for all of that.

"I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be," Bieber wrote with what appears to be a picture of himself in his fashion line from the neck down. "Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health."

The singer's wife, 22-year-old Baldwin, has been open about the couple's marriage and his mental health struggles. Earlier this month, Bieber wrote on Instagram, "Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird."

However, Bieber assured fans on Monday, he will come back with a new album "ASAP" (and) "with a vengeance."
