Justin Bieber's Alleged NBA Finals Assault Victim Demands He Be Allowed to Grill Singer

The man suing Justin Bieber for assault is demanding he be allowed to grill the singer and wants a judge to sanction him for blowing off depositions.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Tobias Cannon has filed a motion to compel Bieber’s deposition.

Cannon sued Bieber over a brawl that went down in 2016. Bieber has denied all wrongdoing. The case has dragged on for months without activity, until this week.

Cannon says on two separate occasions, he notified Bieber of a deposition date and place. He claims Bieber told him a week before the scheduled date he would not be appearing. Cannon says the trial is set for December 9 and he needs to depose Bieber to build his case.

He is also asking the judge to sanction Bieber to the tune of $1,945 for blowing off the depositions.

As The Blast first reported, Bieber is being sued by Cannon over a fight that went down during the NBA Finals in Cleveland on June 8, 2016. Cannon took a photo of Bieber after the singer allegedly swiped his shades and claims that Bieber became irate over the photo and attacked him.

During the incident, Cannon alleges Bieber used "racial epithets," which we're told included the "N-word."

In court docs, Bieber denied any wrongdoing. He claims anything that may have happened between them was Cannon's fault and says "Bieber reasonably believed Plaintiff was going to harm him and any force he used was only the amount reasonably necessary to protect himself."

Bieber has asked for the case to be dismissed and wants to have his attorneys' fees paid for.
