Juvenile charged in deadly Blytheville shooting

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — A juvenile has been charged after a shooting in Blytheville, Arkansas, left one man dead and another man injured.

The Blytheville Police Department said officers responded to the shooting on Tuesday in the 2400 block of Carolyn Street and started rendering aide to the victim, identified as Devontae Johnson, at the scene.

Another man was found shot less than a mile away in the 2300 block of Marguerite Street.

Both victims were taken to Great River Medical Center. Johnson did not survive his injuries.

Police say a juvenile was arrested and charged as an adult with the shooting. The age and identity of the juvenile has not been released.

The juvenile is being held on a $200,000 bond and set to appear in court on March 26.
