Feb. 24—DANVILLE — The Knights of Columbus had its annual Free Throw Competition at the Danville Boys and Girls Club of Danville on Wednesday, Feb. 21.

The Knights of Columbus has been working with Jason Henton, program director at the Boys and Girls Club, for the past three years to have this contest for members ages 9 to 14 years old, said Frank Hoess, who heads the event for the Danville Knights of Columbus.

This year, more than 50 kids competed.

Each contestant received three warm-up tosses followed by 10 consecutive free throw attempts and three tie breaker shots.

Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to the first, second and third places respectively for both boys and girls in each age group.
