K-Nation (2/4/24)- KU receivers, Ryan Wallace, football schedules and more
NORTHEAST KANSAS (KSNT) – K-Nation is reaching the heart of the season for some teams and the beginning for others.
This week’s show starts with a breakdown of college basketball, including a week for the Kansas men’s team that featured a huge home win over No. 8 Houston.
K-State men struggled at home against No. 23 Oklahoma and at Oklahoma State for two more losses. No. 2 K-State women’s basketball suffered two losses on the road against good teams, while Kansas women got back on track with two wins against Big 12 teams.
Kansas football returns some stars on offense, and a bulk of that comes in the receiving room. Lawrence Arnold, Quentin Skinner and Luke Grimm all announced their decision to come back for their fifth year – and K-Nation’s Glenn Kinley sat down with the trio to talk about their dedication to Lance Leipold’s program.
Pete Hughes led K-State baseball to the verge of the NCAA tournament in 2023, but the ‘Cats just missed out on the big dance. K-Nation’s Lainey Gerber shares how the Wildcats plan on being “undeniable” in 2024.
GoPowercat’s Ryan Wallace has the ins and outs of all things K-State football recruiting. He made the trip to the K-Nation studio to talk about Chris Klieman’s prospects, the effect of NIL and more.
K-Nation also shares updates on football programs – including the schedule release for the 2024 season and a hire for Leipold’s staff. The show gives a first look at K-State track’s new indoor facility.
The show is also the final K-Nation for co-anchor Lainey Gerber, who has anchored the program from its inception in August of 2022.
