South Korean K-pop star Chungha will be leaving her long-time agency MNH Entertainment at the end of her exclusive contract next month.

The agency confirmed the news on Wednesday, announcing that her seven-year contract will expire after April 29. Chungha, who won a position in the girl group I.O.I. through Mnet's reality idol competition show “Produce 101,” has been with MNH Entertainment since 2016.

MNH Entertainment also gave an update on Chungha’s anticipated follow-up to her “Bare & Rare” album.

We ask for the fans’ generous understanding in regards to the fact that ‘Bare&Rare Part.2’ will not be released under our agency due to internal circumstances.”

They also thanked Chungha’s fans for their support over the years, saying, "We sincerely thank Chungha, who has been with our agency for a long time, and we also sincerely thank all the BYULHARANG [Chungha’s fandom] who give her their unsparing support and remain by her side."

It is unknown whether Chungha will release the album under another label in the future. She is currently signed with 88rising for certain international promotions.

During her time at MNH Entertainment, Chungha released two studio albums, four mini-albums and multiple singles.
