Kaiser Permanente introduces low-income health care program

FRESNO, Calif. (KGPE/KSEE) – Kaiser Permanente introduced a Community Health Care Program for those who may need assistance in receiving medical services.

The option is available for people with an income between 138 to 300 percent of the federal poverty level, those who are not eligible for health coverage through Medi-Cal and Medicare, job-based coverage, or covered California and must live in the Kaiser Permanente California Service area in order to qualify.

Those who qualify will receive comprehensive coverage from Kaiser without a monthly premium, co-pays, or out-of-pocket costs for most care at Kaiser Permanente facilities.

You do not have to be a U.S. citizen to qualify, according to Kaiser Permanente.
