Kamaiyah Arrested After Allegedly Firing Gun Indoors

Kamaiyah was arrested earlier this month after allegedly firing a gun indoors, TMZ reports and Pitchfork can confirm.

On September 10, Kamaiyah was arrested for discharging a firearm in a negligent manner. She was released from custody that same day after posting $35,000 bond. Kamaiyah’s next court date is October 1. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Kamaiyah for more information.

Burbank Police were called to a condominium complex on September 6 because its movie screening room had damage that appeared to have been caused by a bullet. Management staff pulled up video surveillance footage from the evening of August 25, in which a woman was seen removing an object that appeared to be a handgun from inside of a bag and firing one round. She was with several acquaintances. According to Burbank Police, no one was struck by the gunfire and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Burbank Police detectives later identified the woman in the surveillance video as Kamaiyah. She was charged and a warrant was issued for her arrest. A handgun was recovered at the time of her arrest, which police believe is the same weapon used during the incident.
