Kamala Harris already getting VP consideration from Dem frontrunners

On The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell Wednesday night, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren joined fellow candidate, former Vice President Joe Biden, in saying she’d consider Kamala Harris for vice president. Harris had just dropped out of the race a day earlier, citing fundraising issues.

When asked if Harris would be on her short list for VP, Warren replied, “Oh yeah. I mean look, Kamala Harris would be on any Democrat’s short list. She’s smart, she’s confident…”

Warren added that she and Harris have a long history of working together, well before Harris was a senator.

“You know, I started working with Kamala back during the housing crisis when she was attorney general of California and I was setting up the consumer agency,” Warren said, “and boy she was a tough advocate for families.”

And though Harris is no longer running for president, she’ll still be fulfilling her duties as a Senator, and Warren thinks we’ll be seeing a lot more of Harris in the future.

“Kamala’s terrific,” Warren said. “And I guarantee we’re going to hear a lot more from Kamala in a lot of different ways.”

The Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on MSNBC.
