due to lack of snow and

unseasonably warm weather

“We are standing here at the finish line. This is where the athletes would have come to a stop. There is simply no weather improvement in sight and no temperature which we would have needed. We would have needed several nights at minus 9 degrees Celsius (15.8 degrees Fahrenheit) for the artificial snow to stay.”
