Jun. 5—WILLMAR — With the 2022 election season starting, the Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioner, at its meeting Tuesday, will discuss the use of drop-off boxes for absentee ballots. The boxes were first used in 2020 due to the pandemic.
According to meeting documents, the county staff's recommendation is not to use the boxes this year.
The County Board will also form the absentee/mail ballot board, which either accepts or rejects absentee ballots, based on election rules, when they arrive at the County Auditor's Office.
Also on the agenda are the review of proposals for the county administrator executive search; discussion of the future of the recycling center and review of reports that the emerald ash borer has reached Kandiyohi County.
The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the board room at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building in Willmar.
