Kansas City area health violations: Village Inn, Sonic, LaMar’s, Taco Republic, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Village Inn Restaurant, 5800 Broadmoor St., Mission, had 17 priority violations during a June 15 routine inspection.

Sonic Drive-In, 8905 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a June 15 inspection following a complaint.

HiTea, 914 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, had nine priority violations during a June 20 routine inspection.

Skate City, 7838 Washington Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a June 15 routine inspection.

Casey’s General Store, 7875 Quivira Road, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.

Front Range Coffeehouse & Provisions, 2718 W. 53rd St., Fairway, had seven priority violations during a June 16 routine inspection.

Taco Republic, 500 County Line Road, Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a June 14 routine inspection.
