Kansas City area restaurants with health code violations: Sushi Uni, Chef J BBQ, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Sushi Uni, 12841 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa, had 12 priority violations during an April 20 follow-up inspection.

Shinju Sushi & Hibachi, The Shops of Prairie Village, 3935 W. 69th Terrace, Prairie Village, had 10 priority violations during an April 20 follow-up inspection.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 10586 Metcalf Lane, Overland Park, had eight priority violations during an April 24 routine inspection.

Casa Amigos, 16521 W. 159th Terrace, Olathe, had eight priority violations during an April 25 routine inspection.

Cicis Pizza, 4990 Roe Blvd., Roeland Park, had eight priority violations during an April 25 inspection following a complaint.

Aspens Restaurant & Lounge, 6995 W. 151st St., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during an April 25 inspection following a complaint.

Oishi Sushi Japanese Cuisine & Bar, 12220 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Shawnee, had seven priority violations during an April 18 inspection following a complaint.

Pan-Asia Supermarket, 11940 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had seven priority violations during an April 18 inspection following a complaint.

Price Chopper, 12010 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Overland Park, had seven priority violations during an April 25 routine inspection.

Chef J BBQ, West Bottoms, 1401 W. 13th St., Suite G, had 12 critical violations during an April 21 routine inspection.

Mesob Restaurant & Rhum Bar, 3601 Broadway, had 10 critical violations during an April 21 routine inspection.

Thai House, 9938 Holmes Road, had 10 critical violations during an April 24 routine inspection.

Cupcake A La Mode, Country Club Plaza, 4639 Wornall Road, had eight critical violations during an April 21 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during an April 25 follow-up inspection.

La Fuente Mexican Street Food, Crown Center, 2450 Grand Blvd., had eight critical violations during an April 19 routine inspection. It had two critical violations during an April 26 follow-up inspection.

Brookside Barrio Mexican Kitchen + Bar, 6227 Brookside Plaza, had seven critical violations during an April 22 routine inspection.

Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant, 6318 Brookside Plaza, had seven critical violations during an April 25 routine inspection.
