Kansas City area restaurants with health code violations: Nico & Ana’s, Fronteras, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links to the reports are not available).

Fresco Express, 2104 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, had 16 priority violations during a May 5 routine inspection.

Nico & Ana’s, 6541 W. 119th St., Overland Park, had 10 priority violations during a May 9 first operational inspection after licensing.

Tacos on Wheels, 299 S. 10th St., Kansas City, Kansas, had nine priority violations during a May 4 routine inspection.

Fronteras Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, 175 N. Moonlight Road, Gardner, had eight priority violations during a May 1 routine inspection.

Zephyr Kitchen & Bourbon Bar, Marriott Kansas City Overland Park, 10800 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a May 2 follow-up inspection.

Spin Pizza, Crown Center, 2450 Grand Blvd., had seven critical violations after a May 4 routine inspection. It had no critical violations during a May 8 follow-up inspection.
