Kansas City Mavericks will seek to even their first-round playoff series Thursday night

Back in the playoffs for the first time since the 2018-19 season, the Kansas City Mavericks will be seeking to even their best-of-seven ECHL playoff series against the Allen Americans at one win apiece when the teams take to the ice again tonight at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.

Game 1 of the series Wednesday night did not end in the Mavericks’ favor, as the Americans eked out a 3-2 victory at Cable Dahmer Arena.

The Mavericks outshot Allen and nearly came back to beat their visitors. KC got its two goals from Tristan Mullin — who was just loaned to the Mavericks from the AHL — and rookie defenseman Elias Rosen.

Game 2 of the Mountain Division semifinal series is tonight (Thursday evening) at 7:05 p.m. at Cable Dahmer Arena. Game 3 will be Monday, also at Cable Dahmer Arena, and also at 7:05 p.m. The series shifts to Allen, Texas, for Games 4-7, as necessary.

Tickets to games at Cable Dahmer Arena are available through the Mavericks’ ticket office — call 816-252-7825 or visit kcmavericks.com.
