On Monday, Feb. 5, Hileman made his original Facebook post:

Since 2020, troopers in Kansas have stopped a record number of people driving at these dangerous speeds. In 2022, Troop D troopers wrote 1,237 tickets for people driving over 100 mph. 153 mph was the top speed that year. I have asked our troops to send me radar pics when they catch these drivers and I’ll be posting them for public awareness!”

Others in Kansas are also saying to slow down.

“The highway is not a race track. #SlowDown, folks! Drive the speed limit. KansasHighwayPatrol #troopertodkhp,” said KDOT Southeast Kansas.

“Please slow down. Crashes at this speed have consequences no family should have to endure,” said the Lane County KS Sheriff’s Office.
