TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNW) — The first State of Kansas Agencies Virtual Job Fair of 2024 will take place Wednesday, Jan. 24.

The event, hosted by KANSASWORKS, will showcase open positions with the state’s 98 government agencies. There are currently 700 positions open across the state.

“Working in the public sector is truly a selfless act. Day in, day out, the core of our work in government is to support Kansas and Kansans,” said Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland in a news release. “The Sunflower State is on a dominant trajectory of growth, and our agencies are looking for the right talent to continue this momentum. If you’re interested in joining a winning team, there is no better time than the present.”

Grant will help to fill gaps in local healthcare workforce

Those who wished to participate were asked to register in advance. It’s recommended candidates use a computer to participate in the fair and dress professionally in case of a video interview opportunity.

If you do not have access to a computer, you can visit any KANSASWORKS office as well as your local public library. Anyone with a disability can request accommodations by contacting their nearest workforce center at 877-509-6757 in advance of the fair.
