Kansas jobs hiring at $18 or more per hour

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Kansas officials are highlighting several job fields in the Sunflower State that pay more than double the state’s minimum wage.

The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) put out a press release on Jan. 26 drawing attention to 56 occupations that meet the standards to be considered “high-demand, high-wage” occupations. These jobs require less than a bachelor’s degree for prospective employees, providing people without the benefit of higher education an easier time during the application process.

“This collection aims to shed light on the many opportunities available for individuals seeking rewarding careers that do not require a college degree. Many of these careers have no formal education credential, meaning they could potentially be a steppingstone towards a career with higher educational requirements. The selected occupations offer competitive salaries and cater to growing demand.”
