NORMAN, Okla. — Kansas men's basketball continued its 2021-22 regular season Tuesday with a Big 12 Conference matchup on the road against Oklahoma.

The Jayhawks came in off of a win at home against West Virginia. The Sooners came in off of a loss on the road against TCU. This was the first meeting this season between the two sides.

Did Kansas head coach Bill Self see his team pick up its second conference victory on the road this season? Did Oklahoma pick up another signature win at home this season? Was this the night Remy Martin stars for the Jayhawks, for the first time since he's been dealing with his injury?

Here's what happened, with the latest news first, at the Lloyd Noble Center:

Final: Kansas 67, Oklahoma 64

Kansas saw Christian Braun hit a 3-pointer out of the preceding timeout to give the Jayhawks a 65-62 lead late. Oklahoma wasn't able to make up the deficit, although with tough in-bounds defense did make things interesting.

Kansas and Oklahoma are tied at 62-62 with 28.5 seconds left in 2nd half

Ochai Agbaji has been huge late for the Jayhawks, hitting shots. Will the final shot in this one be his to take for the win? Kansas and Oklahoma are tied at 62-62 with less than 30 seconds left and the Jayhawks have possession of the ball.

Oklahoma leads 56-52 against Kansas with 3:45 left in 2nd half

The Sooners still hold a slight lead, and it feels like whoever makes the next run will come away with the win. Something to think about right now, is free throws. Oklahoma is 6-for-12 for the game and Kansas is 1-for-2, and so far this half the Sooners have been called for three fouls and the Jayhawks have been called for six.

Oklahoma leads 52-48 against Kansas with 7:37 left in 2nd half

Kansas has finally scored again, but it still trails by four points with about seven and a half minutes left. Bill Self has looked frustrated with what has been transpiring offensively. The Jayhawks haven't been able to take advantage of the Sooners not making a shot from the field in about three and a half minutes.

Oklahoma leads 49-46 against Kansas with 10:16 left in 2nd half

The Jayhawks struggles offensively have continued. They've missed their last five shots, seeming to be forced to settle instead of getting what they'd like, and only made one in their last 10 attempts. They've turned the ball over four times in about seven minutes, and not scored in more than three.

Remy Martin's return to the game hasn't solved Kansas' issues. This could be a moment Bill Self turns to Jalen Coleman-Lands. Coleman-Lands is up there with Ochai Agbaji as one of the team's best 3-point shooters, and is 1-for-1 against Oklahoma from behind the arc.

Oklahoma leads 47-46 against Kansas with 12:37 left in 2nd half

Oklahoma is on a 15-2 run now and leading by one point with about 12 and a half minutes left. The Sooners have made six of their last seven shots from the field. The Jayhawks have made one of their last seven shots from the field.

Remy Martin hadn't played for Kansas yet in the second half up to this point. Then, after this break, he returned to action.

Kansas leads 44-39 against Oklahoma with 15:00 left in 2nd half

It took Oklahoma nearly four minutes to score in the second half, but it's still in the game. It's only trailing by five points with 15 minutes left. It's clear, right now given the team's 7-0 run over about a minute, the Sooners have the momentum after trailing by as many as 12 points after halftime.

Remy Martin has yet to play in the second half. It'll be something to watch to see how much time, if any, he gets in the second half. There's the chance he doesn't feel as positive about his knee as he did prior to tip-off.

Kansas leads 42-32 against Oklahoma with 18:22 left in 2nd half

The Jayhawks are on an 8-0 run out of halftime, thanks in part to a 3-pointer each from Jalen Wilson and Christian Braun, and lead by 10 points with still more than 18 minutes left in the game. Wilson is leading all scorers with 11 points, and he has four rebounds as well. Braun is up to eight points.

Oklahoma has two turnovers and a missed shot so far in the second half. For the game, the Sooners have turned the ball over 10 times and allowed 13 points off of those turnovers. Kansas has turned the ball over eight times and allowed nine points off of those turnovers.

HALFTIME: Kansas 34, Oklahoma 32

Kansas leads 33-30 against Oklahoma with 1:14 left in 1st half

Ochai Agbaji returned to the game with 4:18 left in the first half and his team trailing by four points, and now at a break with 1:14 left before halftime Kansas is up by three points. Whether it's by confidence seeing him or simply better play, it looks as if the Jayhawks will go into halftime with the lead at this point. Agbaji has yet to score in this game, but his presence is clearly valuable.

So far in this game, Bill Self has gone pretty deep into his bench. Jalen Coleman-Lands, Remy Martin, Mitch Lightfoot, Joseph Yesufu and KJ Adams Jr. have all played. Martin, understandably, has had the most minutes of that group.

Oklahoma leads 25-24 against Kansas with 6:01 left in 1st half

As the Sooners go on a run with Ochai Agbaji not in the game, the Jayhawks may have some hope. Agbaji has returned to Kansas' bench.

Currently, with about six minutes left in the first half and Oklahoma up one, the Sooners are on an 8-0 run across about a two-minute span. They've made each of their past three shots. Kansas hasn't scored in more than two minutes.

Kansas leads 24-19 against Oklahoma with 7:36 left in 1st half

The Jayhawks seem to managing all right without Ochai Agbaji, but only lead by five points with about seven and a half minutes left in the first half. So, it's still anyone's game.

Jalen Wilson has been shooting the ball well so far for the Jayhawks, and that could prove critical if Agbaji doesn't return. Wilson's seven points, which came on 3-for-5 shooting from the field, are tied with Dajuan Harris Jr. for a team-high.

Eight different Sooners have scored at least one point, as not one person has had a breakout game but all are contributing. Again, turnovers have been affecting them more than turnovers have the Jayhawks even though Oklahoma has six and Kansas five.

Kansas leads 17-14 against Oklahoma with 10:23 left in 1st half

Oklahoma went on a scoring drought that lasted nearly three minutes, and with 10:23 left in the first half Kansas is up three points. Turnovers are hurting the Sooners more than anything. They have five of those, which Kansas has scored four points off of. And Oklahoma is shooting 6-for-9 from the field so far.

Remy Martin's been active on both ends of the floor in his first minutes since returning from injury. He's created some havoc defensively, and created opportunities for his teammates offensively even when a play's gone wrong — one Kansas possession still ended in points after Martin recovered his own blocked shot. He's looked good.

Ochai Agbaji has left the game with an apparent lower arm injury, though, that could be his hand or his wrist. It's unclear at this point how severe it is. He has left the bench, seemingly to seek further treatment.

Oklahoma leads 8-7 against Kansas with 14:51 left in 1st half

The Jayhawks are struggling some offensively, and trail by a point with a little less than 15 minutes left in the first half. It took them more than three minutes to score their first points. That came on a bucket from Jalen Wilson.

Overall, Kansas is 3-for-7 from the field with two turnovers offensively. Dajuan Harris Jr. has been delivering so far, and is 2-for-3 from the field and 1-for-1 from behind the arc for five quick points. Although, he does have one of the Jayhawks' turnovers.
