Update: Kansas police sergeant follows through with friendly Super Bowl LVIII wager with fifth graders

CHAPMAN, Kan. (KSNW) — A police sergeant in Kansas followed through with a friendly wager he made with 5th graders over who would win Super Bowl LVIII.

On Wednesday, Chapman Police Department Sgt. James Reynolds and the 5th graders at Chapman Elementary made the friendly wager.

If the Chiefs were to win, Reynolds would have to shave his head. The Chapman Police Department-Kansas Facebook page made the comment that he was looking pretty shaggy.

If the 49ers were to win, the students would get to have lunch with Reynolds.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime on Sunday.

On Monday, Reynolds kept true to his words.

“This morning before his shift, you could see how much hair he had,” said the CPD Facebook page.
