Kansas State Wildcats land new 2024 football recruit and a transfer from North Dakota

It has been a good 24 hours for Kansas State football recruiting.

After losing more than a dozen players to the NCAA transfer portal in recent weeks, the Wildcats were able to replenish their roster on Tuesday when they landed a talented high school receiver as well as a transfer offensive lineman.

K-State landed its first incoming transfer of the 2024 cycle first. Easton Kilty, a 6-foot-5 and 305-pound blocker who has spent the past four seasons at North Dakota, announced that he will finish his college football career with the Wildcats.

Kilty was a multiyear starter at the FCS level for the Fighting Hawks. He figures to compete for playing time right away in Manhattan, as K-State is set to lose the bulk of a senior-laden offensive line after it plays North Carolina State later this month at the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

He wasn’t heavily recruited as a high-school athlete coming out of Stratford, Wisconsin, but he was regarded as one of the best offensive linemen available in the transfer portal. He played both tackle and guard at North Dakota.

The Wildcats kept their positive recruiting momentum going when Trae Davis committed to them on Tuesday afternoon.

Davis is a 6-foot and 170-pound wide receiver from Troup, Texas. He is considered a four-star recruit by On3 and ESPN. Other recruiting services, such as 247Sports and Rivals, list him with three stars.

He chose the Wildcats over Washington State, Incarnate Word and Louisiana.

Davis will help provide depth at wide receiver next season as K-State looks to replace Phillip Brooks and RJ Garcia.
