Kansas teacher arrested for alleged sexual relations with student

UNIONTOWN, Kan. — Police arrest a Kansas teacher for alleged inappropriate conduct with a student, according to the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office.

Uniontown teacher Breanna Janise Hampton (Taylor), 24, was booked on allegations of unlawful sexual relations, interference with law enforcement officers, and obstruction/resisting on Sunday.

USD 235 school administrators told police the alleged acts did not happen at school.

“We take these allegations very seriously as student safety and care are always our first priority,” said Superintendent Vance Eden.

“We began an investigation immediately and have worked with the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office to gain clarity.

The district says Hampton (Taylor) has been placed on administrative leave until the investigation is complete.

Hampton (Taylor) remains in the Bourbon County jail on a $100,000 bond.
