Kanye West Details Sunday service plans at Joel Olsteen's Church

As Kanye West's album, "Jesus is King," is holding the second spot on Billboard's Top 200 Albums and is shattering records on the Gospel charts, West continues to dive into his rejuvenated Christian faith. This Sunday, West will be making an appearance at Lakewood Church in Houston, TX, Joel Olsteen's popular mega-church. Olsteen might be the most recognizable face of a modern televangelist movement, he is a best selling author, and his services are viewed by millions in over 100 countries around the world.

This week, the schedule of events for Sunday has been posted with Kayne West. The morning service, which will be open to the public, will begin at 11:00 CST with Olsteen and West having a conversation about their journey in faith and overcoming adversity in their lives. The service will be streamed Live on Facebook, YouTube, LakewoodChurch.com, the Lakewood Church App, and on SiriusXM’s Joel Osteen Radio channel 128 and on the SiriusXM app.

In the evening, West and his choir will be hosting a musical performance, which will also be free but requires an E-ticket for entry. The parishioners on the Lakewood Church will be granted initial access to tickets before being open to the public.

West recorded "Jesus is King between August- October 2018. The past few years have been a turbulent time for West, as he had his third and fourth children in 2018-19, Chicago and Psalms West with wife Kim Kardashian. West has also dipped down into the ocean of political life, as he has openly and proudly donned a "Make America Great Again" hat, the signature hat of President Donald Trump. West has met with Trump on multiple occasions during his Presidency, leading to accusations of "selling out" and "betraying" the black community.

At one point, West worked with popular conservative commentator and alt-right provocateur Candace Owens, known for her "Blexit" Movement to try to get black Americans to leave the Democratic Party and vote Republican. West complimented her over Twitter in 2018 before a public fallout ended their partnership.

Since releasing the Christian rap album, West has been traveling throughout the nation, giving outside concerts with his own choir. Recently, West under fire for a free concert, he gave in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While tickets to the concert itself were free, concertgoers who purchased $55 VIP tickets for a plate of food complained that the food itself was nowhere near worth that much money.
