Kanye West has responded to the divorce papers Kim Kardashian allegedly filed two months ago, People magazine reports.

According to documents obtained by People, West is seeking joint legal and physical custody of his and Kardashian's four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. His lawyer reportedly listed “irreconcilable differences” as the couple's reason for splitting. West apparently also asked for the court's right to give spousal support to either him or Kardashian be terminated. Us Weekly reports Kardashian requested joint custody in her filings, as well.

Rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were inching toward divorce started bubbling up in early 2021. “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source told Page Six in January. “Kim has hired [divorce lawyer] Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”

Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner seemingly confirmed the divorce in March. “I think it’s always going to be hard anytime, you know, there’s a lot of kids,” Kris said on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on March 18, according to Us Weekly. “The good thing about our family is that we are there for each other and supportive and we love each other very, very much, so all I want is for those two kids to be happy. And I want the kids to be happy. That’s the goal.”

Meanwhile, Caitlyn said to Access Hollywood, “I love Kimberly. Honestly, I love Kanye. I have had a very good relationship with Kanye. I wish them both nothing but the best. But as far as speaking about that, that is their story to tell, not mine. And I think you might learn some things in the final episode [of Keeping Up With the Kardashians], I wouldn’t be surprised—although I haven’t seen the show, but I do remember shooting scenes. And yeah, I think it should be pretty interesting.”
