Karrin Taylor Robson told CNN this week that the 2020 presidential election wasn’t fair – to Donald Trump – and that the wrong guy is in the White House.

No hoax here, folks. Just another Arizona Republican governor wannabe throwing red meat to conspiracy theorists who have the state’s GOP by the jugular.

Taylor Robson wouldn’t answer the simple question of whether she would you have certified the 2020 election results, as her biggest cheerleader – Gov. Doug Ducey – did.

Instead, she went on a tangent for nearly four agonizing minutes spewing nonsensical rhetoric, including that she would first need to see evidence before determining the accuracy of the outcomes.

Where has she been the past 18 months when the Arizona Senate’s bogus audit, lawsuits and other attempts at discrediting the process have failed to prove the Arizona election was rigged against Trump?

Taylor Robson can't answer a simple question

Failing to stand up to the biggest lie told in recent memory is a red flag and should give voters pause.

Just consider this exchange between CNN’s Brianna Keilar and Taylor Robson:

“Let’s talk election integrity. Your opponent says she wouldn’t have certified the election if she were governor, as governor Ducey did. Would you have certified the election?”

“I’m a lawyer. I’m a trained lawyer and I can’t sit here and tell you without having been presented all the evidence,” Taylor Robson replied.

“Do you accept the outcome of the election of 2020?” Keilar asked.

“We have the wrong guy in the White House,” Taylor Robson replied.

“Wrongfully elected? Or rightfully elected. Wrong guy for the job?” Keilar asked.

“The 2020 election at a minimum was not fair,” Taylor Robson replied.

“Before I let you go. Do you accept the outcome of the 2020 election?” Keilar asked yet again.

“We have the wrong guy in the white House. That’s all I’m going to say on that,” Taylor Robson replied.

Is this really the best conservati can do?

It shouldn’t have to be this hard for Taylor Robson to answer this seemingly easy question. She’s a lawyer. She has seen the evidence like everyone else – for the past 18 months.

Disappointing? Not really. Not if you don’t expect any better from Taylor Robson than her political rival, Kari Lake, who leads Trump’s election deniers clan in Arizona.

But Arizona is in big trouble if Taylor Robson is the best the old guard of the Republican Party – aka Gov. Ducey and former Vice President Mike Pence – can offer.

Dueling Trump, Pence visits: What they mean for politics in Arizona

I get how politics work but I don’t like it.

Taylor Robson has spent millions of her own wealth giving Lake a run for her popularity among Trumpers. They’re now statistically tied leading up to Tuesday’s Republican primary, if you believe some polls.

Taylor Robson’s money isn’t enough – and neither is Ducey’s nor Pence’s endorsement – for her to beat Lake if she’s still peddling the lie that the 2020 election was somehow stolen.

Either Taylor Robson believes the election was rigged against Trump or she’s lying to his supporters only to get their vote in the primary.
