Kate Middleton has had a busy week (and it's only Tuesday!) and her most recent outing on Tuesday afternoon proves the mother-of-three knows how to work spring fashion.

Just one day after the royal's debut at the Chelsea Flower show, Kate joined her husband Prince William to make a surprise appearance at the queen's garden party at Buckingham Palace.

Queen Elizabeth frequently hosts these daytime soirees on the palace lawn during the summer months, bringing together nearly 8,000 people from the community with music and tea.

For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a light pink coatdress by beloved designer Alexander McQueen, which she paired with a matching fascinator, suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi and Loeffler Randall clutch. Meanwhile, Prince William looked dapper as ever, abiding to the strict dress code that mandates men must wear a morning dress or lounge suit.

The duchess' most recent garden party appearance was in 2017 -- she likely skipped last year's gettogether because of Prince Louis' birth.

The parents of three's arrival on Tuesday comes after the royals debuted new photos of the family, including a now walking (!) Prince Louis. The adorable family snapshots detail George, Charlotte and Louis exploring Duchess Kate's garden at the show.
