We're four days into December, and the Duchess of Cambridge has fully embraced the holidays in her wardrobe. Kate Middleton arrived at Peterley Manor Farm today, wearing skinny jeans, a green sweater, and a red puffer coat. Santa would approve of the casual but undeniably Christmas-y look.

Kate is at the farm for an event for her new patronage, Family Action, where she'll be "taking part in Christmas activities," according to Kensington Palace. The Queen passed the patronage down to Kate after spending over 65 years as the organization's royal patron.

In its statement announcing Kate's patronage, Kensington Palace revealed that Kate has been secretly preparing to take on the role for months. "The Duchess of Cambridge has spent much of the last eight years meeting charities and organizations who work every day to make our families and communities stronger," the Palace wrote. "There is a powerful correlation between a parent or carer’s wellbeing and their child’s development, which is why organizations such as Family Action that provide support are instrumental to a child’s future. This new patronage aligns with Her Royal Highness’ longstanding work on the early years, and the importance of supporting children and families during this seminal period of their lives."

"Family Action work directly with vulnerable or disadvantaged children and families through both local and national services and support professionals and organizations through training and consultancy provision," the Palace added.

The organization is of course thrilled to have Kate working with them.

“Family Action is honored that The Duchess of Cambridge has become our Royal Patron," Chief Executive of Family Action David Holmes said in the Palace's statement.

"I have seen The Duchess’s passionate support for disadvantaged families first hand and have been impressed by her leadership in understanding and promoting the vital importance of the Early Years," he continued. "Family Action looks forward to working with The Duchess in the years to come.”
