Kate Middleton Is Having A Busy Week

The Duchess of Cambridge has had a busy week of engagements, and our future queen has looked glamorous as ever at each one.

While her husband Prince William has been away on a solo tour, Kate has been holding down the fort, taking care of all three children, dressing to impress at Buckingham Palace, and dressing down for a day out at Buckinghamshire Farms.

Not only is she busy at events, but she also announced her new patronage, Family Action.

A Glamorous Night At Buckingham Palace

On Tuesday night, The Queen hosted a sparkling reception at Buckingham Palace for NATO leaders and their spouses to celebrate 70 years of the NATO alliance.

Kate stunned in a green Alexander McQueen dress, and her famous locks were worn down in waves.

Other members of the royal family also attended, including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Earl of Wessex, the Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra. Unsurprisingly, Prince Andrew did not show up.

The U.S. President Donald Trump was in attendance with wife Melania.

Was She Missing Her Husband?

The Duchess appeared in very good spirits, as she laughed and mingled with some of the world's top leaders.

Was she missing her husband Prince William? Judi James, a body language expert told Mail Online, "Despite having a companion in the car as she left to help the Queen host the NATO reception tonight, Kate’s body language meant she cut a slightly pensive and solitary figure without her husband William beside her. It’s unusual to see Kate without her signature pitch-perfect smile in public but her rather distant gaze and her unsmiling expression suggested some tension or pre-event nerves.'

Mingling With Justin Trudeau

While she may have been missing her husband, she did find one friendly face at the event, that of the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The Duchess met Trudeau while on a royal tour of Canada in 2016 and the two appear to have struck up a close friendship. They both giggled and chatted amiably, with the official Kensington Royal Instagram account posting a picture of the two from the reception.

Kate is clearly comfortable in her position now, after many years of practice in the royal spotlight.

A Casual Wednesday At The Farm

While her husband Prince William is away visiting Oman and Kuwait, Kate is keeping busy. On Wednesday, just a day after she attended the NATO event at Buckingham Palace, the Duchess visited Peterley Manor Farm in Buckinghamshire.

Now the patron of Family Action, Kate visited children and their families while they took part in some holiday activities for Christmas.

She looked to be having a grand time, helping feed deer, and picking out Christmas trees, while dressed in a festive green sweater and red jacket.
