Kate Middleton Steps Out in a Periwinkle Blue Kurta on Her Second Day in Pakistan
Kate Middleton and Prince William are currently on their royal tour in Pakistan, where the royals have a busy schedule that includes a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan, and a visit to the Islamabad Model College for Girls. Today, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out wearing a periwinkle blue kurta and trousers, which she paired with nude flats and statement earrings by Zeen for a packed day of engagements in the country's capital.
Earlier this morning, Kate also wore a vibrant green tunic by Catherine Walker and trousers by Maheen Khan. Her accessories included a scarf by Satrangi, and once again earrings Zeen.
This marks Kate and William's second day in Pakistan, where they'll be on tour until October 18. This tour marks the first official visit by a member of British royal family to the country since 2006, when Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles visited the South Asian country. Queen Elizabeth also visited the country in 1961 and in 1997, while Princess Diana made a solo trip to Pakistan in 1991.
"The two countries enjoy historical links which both sides wish to strengthen further," Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, the High Commissioner for Pakistan to the United Kingdom, said after the royal tour was first announced earlier this summer.
Even following the royals' arrival, but much of their itinerary has remained under wraps. Ahead of their tour, the royals' Communications Secretary explained in a statement that this visit is "the most complex tour undertaken by The Duke and Duchess to date, given the logistical and security considerations.”
Yesterday, the royals touched down in Nur Khan Airbase for the five-day tour. The Duchess wore a bespoke blue dress by Catherine Walker paired with matching trousers, statement earrings, and nude heels.
