Meghan Markle enlisted a slew of fashion industry collaborators to help bring her capsule collection to life—one of which is very familiar to her sister-in-law.

Kate Middleton worked at Jigsaw, a clothing brand that produced some of the items in Meghan's collection, all the way back in 2006. She was an accessories buyer for the brand, a job she reportedly got after reaching out personally to Jigsaw's founder Belle Robinson, an acquaintance of the Middleton's.

The Duchess of Cambridge (back then, just known as Kate Middleton) worked with Robinson to craft a job specially for the future royal, as dating Prince William came with its own commitments that she often couldn't control. In a 2008 interview with the Evening Standard, Robinson said she was more than satisfied with Kate's work.

"I have to say I was so impressed by her," Robinson said, adding that Kate did her best to fit in. "She sat in the kitchen at lunchtime and chatted with everyone from the van drivers to the accounts girls. She wasn't precious." The Duchess would quit less than a year after beginning her job, saying she needed "some time to herself."

Now, over a decade later, Jigsaw has rekindled its relationship with the royal family through Meghan. The brand is selling several items—a blazer, and a pair of pants—as a part of Meghan's "Smart Set" collection. And for every piece they sell, one will be donated to Meghan's patronage Smart Works, which (among other things) provides underprivileged women with clothing for job interviews.
