  • On Monday morning, Prince William and Kate Middleton landed in Pakistan to kick off their five-day tour of the country.

  • The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge timed their flight out to allow them to drop their oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, off at school before they left the United Kingdom, the Daily Mail's royal correspondent, Rebecca English, revealed on Twitter.

  • English also shared other behind-the-scenes details about Will and Kate's royal tour in a series of tweets.

Prince William and Kate Middleton touched down in Pakistan Monday evening for the start of their five-day tour of the country. The royal parents didn't bring their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—on the trip, but that doesn't mean the youngest Cambridges haven't impacted the tour.

Daily Mail royal correspondent Rebecca English revealed on Twitter that Will and Kate planned the beginning of the trip directly around their oldest kids' schedules.

"Fun tour fact: William and Kate’s departure from the UK yesterday was designed so that they could do the school run before they left," she wrote.

While Will and Kate are traveling, the duchess' parents will step in and help out—just like any grandparents would.

"Grandparents Michael and Carole Middleton are helping to shoulder childcare duties while William and Kate are away," English tweeted.

Finally, English revealed one other tidbit from the tour: Will and Kate's entourage has a new member.

"The couple have also, for the first time, brought with them a tour doctor," she wrote. "He’s a friend of William’s from his days with @EastAngliAirAmb Normally only the Queen and the Prince of Wales take a medic with them."
